About Me

I'm a Software Systems Development graduate with a strong interest in cloud engineering, backend systems, and DevOps. I enjoy understanding how applications work beyond the code — from development and containerization to deployment, networking, and infrastructure.

Throughout university and my projects, I've worked with REST APIs, databases, modern web technologies, Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows. I'm now expanding my knowledge of AWS, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and deployment practices to build applications that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

I enjoy solving technical problems, troubleshooting systems, and learning how different pieces of technology work together. I'm looking for a junior role where I can contribute with my software development background while continuing to grow into a strong cloud and infrastructure engineer.

A full-stack URL shortener built to gain hands-on experience with production AWS cloud infrastructure. Users can register, shorten long URLs into shareable short links, and track click activity through a personal dashboard — all backed by a containerized architecture deployed on live AWS infrastructure.

  • Secure user authentication with JWT-based sessions and bcrypt password hashing
  • Custom short-link generation with click tracking
  • Dashboard for managing all shortened links and viewing engagement at a glance
Challenge solved: Implemented free, auto-renewing HTTPS on a bare IP-based deployment (no owned domain) by combining a free DDNS subdomain with Let's Encrypt's HTTP-01

Portfolio Site

A personal portfolio site showcasing my projects and background, built and deployed entirely on AWS using a serverless, static-hosting architecture — chosen deliberately to gain experience with a different AWS deployment pattern than a traditional server-based app.

  • Fully static site served globally through a CDN for fast load times anywhere
  • Secured with a free, trusted SSL certificate on a custom domain
  • Automatic deployment pipeline — every code change goes live within minutes of being pushed
Challenge solved: Set up least-privilege CI credentials scoped to only the specific S3 bucket and CloudFront distribution needed, rather than granting broad account access to the deployment pipeline
